BAPTISM

Thanksgiving for the birth of a child and their subsequent baptism is usually held on a Sunday afternoon or during Morning Worship. Enquiries should be addressed to Rev'd Patricia Townshend on 01788 461987.

The Church of England has a useful website that tells you all you need to know about baptisms (also known as Christenings). The Light a Candle feature lets you light a virtual candle and pray for the child who is being christened.

confirmation

Confirmation marks the point in the Christian journey when you affirm your faith and your intention to live a life of committed discipleship.

This is confirmed through prayer and the laying on of hands by the confirming Bishop. The church also asks God to give you power through the Holy Spirit to enable you to live in the way of Jesus. There is no problem if you haven't already been baptised (christened) as this can be done as part of the Confirmation Service.

If you feel that you’d like to be confirmed or to find out more about it then please contact the Rev'd Patricia Townshend on 01788 461 987 or get in touch by email.

WEDDINGS

Your wedding day is an event that you will remember for the rest of your life. Our aim at St Peter's is to do all that we can to ensure that your wedding is a really wonderful occasion.

FUNERALS

The Church of England has developed a useful website which provides supportive information for those organising or attending a CofE funeral and coping with bereavement.

Funerals at St Peter's or matters concerning the churchyard should be addressed to Rev'd Patricia Townshend on 01788 461987 or to Chris Sarson on 01926 632408.

Churchyard Regulations

The churchyard at St Peter’s is one of the loveliest in the county, with marvellous views and a peaceful atmosphere. It is also one of the largest in the county, with a small but dedicated team of volunteers who maintain it.

Our rules are absolutely essential for the maintenance of the churchyard, so that it can be kept tidy and retain its charm and character. The rules are an extract from more comprehensive directions issued by the Chancellor of the Diocese which can be found on the Coventry Diocese website. Read our Churchyard regulations.
