Out of this World Theme for Thurlaston Village Fete! Thurlaston Village Fete is on Saturday 6th July and will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the moon landing alongside all the usual fun and festivities! Organisers hope the fete's out-of-this-world space theme will inspire a few Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin scarecrow look-alikes to set the scene. The fete will officially blast off at 2pm and run until 4pm with a whole galaxy of star attractions, free entry for all ages and an inter-galactic warm welcome for any budding astronauts (or aliens) who may want to come along in fancy dress. Stalls will include down-to-Earth produce and plants, gifts and toys, cakes, bric-a-brac, books and bottles. Plus tombola, Rugby Beekeepers, china and collectables and lots of pocket-money games for children. For those needing a sit down after defying gravity to orbit the fete's stalls, there will also be hot dogs and ice creams, strawberries and Pimms at the church, tea and tasty cakes in the village hall, and Leamington Spa Ukulele Band. Fete organiser Sylvia Jacques said: "We're on a mission to make this year's fete a stellar success and look forward to welcoming lots of visitors!"
