For all the Family at St. Peter’s

This page lists the various events and activities which may be of interest to families.

Regular family-friendly services

The first Sunday of the month at 10.30am at St Peter's is an All Age Family Worship, which is an informal service lasting about an hour and followed by refreshments

We provide a Junior Church group on the second, third  and fourth Sundays (Holy Communion) at 10.30am at St Peter's where children can take part in supervised activities in the common room while their parents or carers join in the service.Children of all ages are welcome.

The Parish Council has agreed that baptised children may receive communion after due preparation. Rev'd Pat asks that parents who wish their children to be admitted to communion please either phone her on 01788 461 987 or speak to her after Sunday service. Alternatively you can email Pat at

We now offer the Hope Gang for young people of about 10 years and older, which is held during the service on the fourth Sunday in the ringing chamber. We are happy for children of this age to take communion before confirmation provided their parents approve and they receive instruction from a minister.

For children in school years 4, 5 and 6, there are a few places available at Rock Solid Club on Tuesdays, 3.30-4.30pm, at Dunchurch Junior School (you don’t need to attend the school as a pupil to attend) – more information from Simon at ‘Rugby Youth For Christ’ office 01788 567475.

In church, soft toy bags are available to occupy younger children and a baby corner can also be set out. Refreshments are served after the service, which will end by about 11.45am.

You’re always welcome at St Peter’s, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Thanksgiving for the birth of a child and their subsequent Baptism is usually held on a Sunday afternoon. It may be held during Morning Worship if the family is part of the St Peter's family.
